That was a well thought out responds for a Marine. Now if you only had joined the Air Force as they do the real fighting.
Really would like to start truck driving please offer me advice!

I don't back down from most. Marines would be that exception. They're nuts. Completely insane. Bunch of jugheads with more muscle than brains. Best fighting force in the world. Couldn't ask for any better to fight for our country. God love the USMC.

Hate me whomever that wants but I will say here #### it.. you failed it.. now be thankful that you did.
Now rethink your life and see where you really wanna be at, trucking sucks, yeah yeah we love it but it sucks.
Get a part time job and go to school, clean up your act..
2 years in trucking cannot compare to what 2 years of school would give you. If I could quit this #### career now and go to school full time I would, but now with kids and responsabilities it ain't happening soon..
You've been given a second chance by having been #### on yourself. Time to take your life in your hands and be a productive human being..
That blaming maryjane is childish. Stop makimg excuses, if you had really invested everything into getting a trucking career you'd be already driving.Last edited by a moderator: May 24, 2014

And I know I'm beating the horse to death here, but. You messed up. Take responsibility for what you did. This is no one else's fault but your own. You dug a W900 sized hole...time to put it to rest. That extra month of waiting wouldn't have killed you. I am truly sorry to hear that this is what you wanted to do, and you were willing to commit to it. But you failed for no other reason but your own. Get your SAP done, put it in a closet, and work at Wally World for the next ten years and then Swift might pick you up. -

Ok guys, everyone who said I should not have been smoking pot are #######'. Like i said in the original post I am staying clean and not touching it again. If I knew the consequences of my actions I would have made sure I was clean ( Obviously ). I was not aware of it being a permanent issue because of DOT, I know realized I should have done more research before applying to a craigslist post that said "free cdl training, guaranteed job" which is how I found out about the job. I basically just packed up my crap and left for the job without much other thought because I needed a good paying job.
Thank you for all the people that have actually given me steps to take to achieve my goals, that is why I made this post, not for people to tell me that I should not have done something that I already did. Yes it was stupid but I will continue to try to haul over this speed bump because it is something I really want to do.
Now I am a little confused about the length of time people are saying it would take to obtain a cdl after taking necessary steps. If i was to see a DOT SAP specialist go through program and rehab , why would it take so long to find a job or obtain a cdl?
I realize it will be hard to find a job considering my situation but is there a length of time I would have to wait or something after being approved by Sap to obtain CDL?
Thanks -
