Ur right sorry, there for a minute I thought an illegal drug was an illegal drug. Just like drinking and driving if you have a few and are buzzed and kill somebody's family member it's not as bad as being so drunk you can't hardly walk and kill someone. My point is wrong is wrong. I don't feel one bit bad for ya.

 

When I was a student I got out of the truck like 10 times and looked when I had to do something like that, I must have drove my trainer crazy but at least I never ran into anything.... another time a yard dog got on my case because I was taking too long, so I offered him a 20 to do it, he just laughed and left me alone after that.... It is certainly not swifts fault if you run the truck into something, but I guess you know that now.

True trainee was driving so in the eyes of the law it is his fault.But look at his side to this,trainers can be intimidating and make u believe hes your boss.When you're new to trucking all you wanna do is get qualified and get your own trk.There would be a lot better new drivers out there if they had good trainers to begin with.Companies like Swift doesn't look for good qualified safe drivers to be trainers all they look for is the trainers that meet the exp requirement.This trainer is just as much to blame as the trainee.Op wasn't ready but trainer still wanted him to back into the spot and trainer should have had his eyes open and seen trainee was about to hit something.If I was in safety I would listen to both sides and probably charge both with the accident.Trainers responsibility is to train and be the best trainer possible but so many tainers look at the money side to it.

 

Even though there is a lot of truth to that video,you can't compare all students as one.
