once again its the old accident is inevitable syndrome.i see adds for drivers that say 2 accidents ok not two speeding tickets....ok so you ran over a guardrail on a turn took out two tires thats ok.you just forgot to look.here is an example of what is wrong a driver crosses a wooden covered bridge with a truck.he has no idea of what he is driving or how massive it is,that is the problem in a nut shell.not us old experienced truckdrivers, two weeks ago i couldnt spell truck driver now i is one....ok
so, you think your safe with the elog and hos.

How many trucks on the road back then?
How much regular traffic on the roads back then?
Look at the demand for just in time freight.
Yes, there are more people than ever in the trucks. Demand for the drivers is much higher.
Many of the 70's truckers have retired.
Sad thing is the pay is less than then.
You act like you are the only truck driver. Yes, there are rules and the lack of obeying many of them has led to the problem of the EOBR. -
but it was NOT us.you werent there so there is no point discussing this all you know is stories your 2 week trainer told you
-
Never had a 2 week trainer.
Mine was Tuesday afternoon to Thursday night in the same week. -
well well read truck accidents about home owner house hit a couple of times, and how many on here almost blame the owner for rebuilding, once again its not ok to have accidents no matter how small.just an example of more drivers who should not be out here.to stupid to drive.

I have yet to see either.
You seem to think that unless someone drove during the time you started that they are unsafe and should not be out here.
How many tickets have you received for speeding? My last one was when I was 16. I have driven in over 35 states PRIOR to being a commercial driver when I traveled on IRS audits and such.
Since driving commercially, no speeding tickets. I have driven in every state except Hawaii, and also all of the Canadian provinces except one.
So, if you have a ticket, in my eyes, you are now an unsafe driver. How does that feel? -
accidents and speeding happened in the 70's, 80,s.... people died in those accidents, which by the way, there were more truck accidents per million miles traveled in the 70's than there are in 2010's.
