There is more money in ND but, and it's big, it costs more to live there, it's colder than a witches t@# in the winter, and you have to like snow. I went with Texas, my buddy is in ND. We both are O/O's hauling dirt and gravel in a the oil fields. After living exspenses I end up with more in my pocket and a decent home life. I also get to work year round. But you have to decide what you want. Quick money and then get out, or more like me, a long term life change. I was going back and forth from Texas to Oregon for a year before my wife moved down and we could sell off out house. It sucked, 2 days traveling for 3 days with the family. Most companies have different policies for off time. I have a buddy who gets 2 days off for every 30 he works. But he's single and parks his bike in my garage. I pay 875 a month rent for a 4/3 new house with a pool and a landscaper, my buddy in ND pays 825 for a
motel room. It all depends what you want. Look at cost of living before you make a decision.

and once again, I will chime in, northeastern colorado, great pay, low cost of living... but colorado does have state income taxes..
or eastern wyoming, same shale formation as ND, pay is great, low cost of living, and no state income tax... or live in cheyenne wy, and haul the crude in colorado. -

Pay is 25 to 27% of load for crude haulers...
a rookie will make $70,000 the first year.
the ones paying by the hour are in the 20 to 22 range. -
