I always get out check lights tires and my fifth wheel locking lever eveytime before I get Rollin saves me headaches tickets and so fourth now if you feel like it's a waste of Time that's on you and you're entitled to your own opinion but if you get a flat tire or violation for some lights out remember it could've been Prevented by simply walking around the truck for a grand total of maybe 2-3 minutes

QUOTE=harddazeknight;3999399]It has nothing to do with gettin' a tire stolen... it has to do with actually doing pretrips.[/QUOTE]

Knoxville Pilot at x398 used to be bad but I've had no concerns the last fee times I've taken my break there. Weird, though. Inn mercer saw security or LEO. Go figure...

    Autocorrect sucks! Corrections:

    "last three times"
    "Inn mercer" = "I never"

Yea, I don't think it is an actual town cop. He looked more like wannabe security. I stopped there over a year ago and didn't even know it was a known bad place. But I am sure I will not ever be there again.

I've never had problems there... many truckstops have added security to keep any problems from occurring, just as much as to keep the drivers in line.

Last time I was at Flynn's, I was upstairs eating lunch, sitting in a booth, looking at the street and the fuel island. Next thing I saw was a rig, going backwards from the pumps, slow at first, then at a high rate of speed. 1st thought "Man, I wonder who ticked this guy off" and then I realized it was a runaway truck. It was a miracle it jack knifed itself about 300' back, partially blocking the UPS entrance, and how it stayed out of traffic I'll never know. No one was hurt, but his cab was damaged heavily from the jack knife.

The driver, who was inside the store, heard the commotion about a runaway truck, but had no idea until he came back out to see his truck missing and then saw where it wound up at.

Weirdest part of the whole thing was he had 3 or 4 dogs that went for that wild ride in the cab while he was shopping.

Moral of the story: The approach to the pumps is on a grade. Double check your brakes when you park. This isn't the first time its happened and probably won't be the last.

10 to 1 says the dog(s) disengaged the parking brakes. Probably out of spite for not letting them out.
