Nothing crazy like replacing the sideboxes with subs, just putting some good speakers with decent bass. Is this something I could do myself or would I need a shop. If so are there any on the road? Never seen any ads for such a place lol. Not looking to pull into the fuel island like Im 50 Cent, just would like deeper sound.

If in a Company Truck I wouldn't bother.

The speaker wiring is already there it's easy to drop better speakers in but I'm not sure how much it will help. Better bass requires more power.

Go to best buy they did mines for free since they can added to their list of things they have done

If your handy, you can mount a sub under your bed with amps and all. If they can do it in cars, your truck alternator certainly has enough power to run it. You should be able to do it yourself if you know how to do basic wiring. Easiest thing to do is find existing speaker wires to your rear speakers. Pull through new better wire and additional needed for sub. Replace speakers in existing housings and replace wire using existing tracks. Wire your amps directly to batts the same way you would mount an inverter. (fused of coarse)

So I'm crazy? I have 2 12's and a low profile sub under the bunk. I have an amp and capacitor. And I replaced the 4 speakers that came in the truck with some mid range speakers with tweeters built in. I also replaced the receiver.

Can you post pictures? I'm looking for insperation and ideas for mine...i know the technical side, but not the design side as well. -
