getting real #### tired of jumping thruogh ######## hoops. just to have a company say " oh you don't have enough exp" when they claim to hire grads or some incompetent medi worker who doesn't know how to use a pressure cuff correctly say my bp is too high, and this when i have a current medical card but its not "recent enough" for this company. so im seriously considering getting the hell rid of my class a. its just not worth it too me anymore. ive paid dues elsewhere, getting shot at in the #### desert, for those pricks, how bout cut the ######## and give a combat veteran a god #### break.
about to say hell with it

I assume you've tried other companies???

Join a #### company like Swift or Werner and get experience. This isnt 1990, nowadays if people are telling you something then you need to make a change. They are telling you that you need experience. To be honest if I had my own a truck company I wouldn't hire noobs either. Every new guy I seen tears up the truck and trailer by ignoring warning signs. Once a new guy I swapped trailers with told me that the sign said no trucks but he went down it anyway since the gps said so. He had tons of damage to the trailer and was three hours late.

Thank you for your service Rancid.Calm down and don't let companies get the best of you.Alot of companies require their doctor to give physicals.Getting angry sure isn't going to lower your BP.How many companies turned you away?
Skydivedavec and SheepDog Thank this. -
I'm feeling a similar way, fellow border collie owner.
I've been in training for 4 weeks and I've learned nothing (Heck, I've even been teaching my trainer some things) I run a dedicated route from one terminal to another and I have to spend 3 nights a week in a motel since my trainer has weekends off.
I've asked about testing out of training or completing extra computer training so that I can go solo, but paying a student peanuts a week to run as a team is too profitable for them.
My only real option is to suck it up for another month or so until I complete training. I certainly don't want to give myself the reputation of jumping from company to company.
Best of luck to youSkydivedavec and SheepDog Thank this. -
whatever you do,do not just give up your class a. trucking is sketchy anyway and the obstacles that you have jumped over/through thus far to even get that class a are what i would not do in today's climate.you newbies have persevered through much more than i would want to just to drive.hang in there my friend.
thanks for serving and best of luck.it will happen-
side note-is that a border collie in your avatar? just being an animal person/pet owner(well they actually own us,do they not?) speaks volumes so getting a job driving a damnedol'truck will not be a problem.heck, those companies that turned you down have done you a favor imo.perhaps a real outfit that runs real equipment,as in allows you to drive the posted speed limit, will hire you.do it in person or not at all and be a step up on the average application filer.Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
best of luck to you as well-wanttotruck and SheepDog Thank this. -
Im no doctor but are you with high bp because of some weight issues or do you eat high sodium foods? If its the latter skim through my posts one of them gives directions on lowering th bp in 1 week time. I lowered mine from 145/90 to 122 / something in 5 days. So if you have the same issue then its easy fix.
There is a list on this site of companies tbat hire noobs apply online to all of them. ALL.
Im training with central refrigerated and applied to easily 50 companies before getting here.SheepDog, warrior81 and Skydivedavec Thank this.
