The model is TN 520. The route was I80 in Ohio and Indiana. I used your example from an earlier post.

The newest Maps (not released yet) do include the restrictions.
As OD/OW your permit should have given you a route.
Thanks,

Duplicate post I was in a TND 500 thread not a RM TND (all) support thread. #### google search copy/paste from the other thread to here.
having issues with RM tnd500 way out of warranty as I bought it when they first came out battery is gone but that's ok with me, starts up and hangs on loading screen, TND dock wont update program just fails. I made a backup of the system memory and the SD card , downloaded a different dock program from RM website @ www.randmcnally.com/support/s/dock-software
included in this dock software is a "device diagnostics and repair" software debugger option. Currently running it hopefully will get me up and going, but if anyone has any other suggestions I am all ears completely draining battery and using reset button has already been tried as-well. thank you for your time. -
the company i work for has a blanket permit in MA...so we don't get routed we do it ourself....how can the 720 be sold as a trucker GPS and it dosent have key truck restrictions programed in....STORROW DRIVE was never a truck road...i am having a hard time with this one....and i am verry dissappointed....

There are millions of miles in the US and Canada. Restrictions do fail sometimes to make it in the Map data. Since you are one map version behind what I have, I tested on the newest maps (not released yet). The restrictions are in place.
As mentioned before, map data will never be 100%. Restrictions, roads, exits, new streets are forever changing. It does sometimes take a year or so to make it into the map data.
Running OD/OW is usually something that is permitted. I know of an example in AZ that they will route you on a Non-STAA route for your permits.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Markmattbnr Thanks this. -
Humm... must be a "B" model. Battery would need to hold a charge to allow the program to finish booting. I sense you tried using an older "Dock", but that does not point to anywhere in the internet world. You did download the newest Dock from the RM website that is good.
But, you are about 4-5 maps versions behind. Your version would also be several years old.
Might I suggest an upgrade to a newer model?
Thanks,

not an option at this time (new model).
battery does hold a charge for about 2 minutes then unit would shutdown (did that about 5 months after opening the box).
I would be just fine if it would come on and do what it did 2 years ago but since I came off the road it got stowed in a closet for 2 years now wont boot. its "repairing" currently and the program took 1 hour 20 mins ish to detect errors, and now says approx. 1 hour to repair but it only scanned maps on the sd card. I did not see it detect / repair scan on the system files themselves (within the unit) o well just let it finish first since there's nothing else I can do while that's going on. was just fishing for a "next plan of attack" when this is done. -
Where can I find this screen alignment option, is there anywhere a video to be able to find? -
Main menu/preferences/general/scroll down to align screen
