The PSP has no score on it.
It has no ranking.
It does not have points.
It simply shows individual severity weight and time weight does it not? If carriers are using this information improperly, that's beyond the scope of this conversation. In fact I did bring that up previously several times. But make no mistake the carrier scores and percentile rankings are what is important overall. This is what triggers audits. This is what carriers are trying to improve on. -

Drivers are NOT ranked, according to the FMSCA... they are scored, in the process of determining the carriers score, but there is NO national ranking of individual drivers... The FMSCA does NOT have the authority to rank the individual drivers, only the carriers.
During an audit, the FMSCA will look at the drivers for THAT single company, to see what driver violations there are...
See allan, just maybe you are starting to understand, the carriers ranking is NOT as important to me or many in this thread, we care about our own POINTS, and violations...
I can not control what 1,000 other drivers do to a carriers ranking, point score, but I can control what I do...
Will I hire onto a company with a bullseye on their back, NO...
And see this thread was about warning tickets that are reported on a inspection form, and that yes the driver will receive POINTS (from a severity weight scale) for that warning violation, and that the driver has NO recourse to remove that warning ticket. HAD NOTHING to do with the companies CSA POINT ranking, but with an individual driver. -
THE WORD POINTS DOES NOT EXIST IN CSA

It's getting nauseating.
The methodology says nothing about drivers being ranked only in individual carriers:
Of course you care about your own violations. But you need to understand how this affects your carrier, because if your carrier starts to get close to that magical 80% mark prepass won't allow you to bypass, and you will be inspected more often. Also the carrier may be audited. Also you need to understand this because if there's two drivers each with the same violations, but one has many more clean inspections, one driver will be bringing the carrier score down the other will be raising it. Their DSMS scores and rankings will be vastly different. Score affects percentile, percentile affects FMCSA actions. If your safety manager doesn't understand this, that's a problem. -
Here's the other issue:
If the PSP does not show score or rankings, maybe it should. -
Also you guys are confusing a few terms here. Severity weight X time weight is not your score.

it is sad that we work in an industry that is so convoluted that we even have such threads as this
people say no CSA points, yet your SCORES are indeed points that are multiplied
and what counts and what doesnt, its pathetic we have allowed ourselves to be governed and ruled by such idiocyRocks Thanks this. -
Scores are multiplied AND divided by relevant inspections.
Everything counts that's on an inspection form. -
