So you can then agree that if YOU had turn that drive shaft with your own hands that it would be easier to move the truck with the 3.90's in it vs the truck with the 2.64's.

Follow me here son....
2.64 X 1 (10th gear) = 2.64
3.55 X .73 (10th gear) = 2.5915
Actually the direct drive has MORE LEVERAGE! -
You need to take into consideration the transmission. You will not understand the subject matter until you do. THe engine does the work on the input shaft not the driveshaft. -
leftlanetruckin and superhauler Thank this.

You're just talking about gearing. I'm talking about the complete package.
THE ENGINE DOES ITS WORK ON THE INPUT SHAFT, NOT THE DRIVESHAFTRichter Thanks this. -
Did we ever figure out why you can't order those tall rear gears with greaseless U-joints ?leftlanetruckin, superhauler and Oscar the KW Thank this. -
By all means, just like someone else, keep preaching the KR stuff all day long. The rest of us will carry on cracking up.....
BTW, does my 13 speed have a 1:1 ratio? Yeah, I thought so. So why is it, I keep getting left by folks with deeper gearing than me, but less HP?
There is an old proverb, as has been correctly said before, 2 ways to put more to the ground, gearing and power. Thus why 4 cylinder vehicles always have lower gearing than their 6 cylinder counterparts, with everything else being equal in the transmission world. Go look it up, some here are good at it.
Martinsuperhauler Thanks this. -
Oscar the KW, rank and leftlanetruckin Thank this.
