    Scenario is this :

--------- Load was a preset load already accepted by my driver manager for me, I never had a choice to look at the hours and accept or decline load.

--------- I receive load and take it as far as I can then do the math and come up with not sufficient enough time on the load to deliver on time.

--------- I notify dispatch asking for a t-call, load still had 1100 miles left on it and plenty of time for them to find a team to re-power load.

--------- I'm told by dispatch to keep trucking and that they'd find me a t-call while I was moving, just keep them notified where I stopped each night.

--------- I keep dispatch updated the whole trip, and even stop for a lunch in SLC area where I know the refer division is very strong out of and the presence of drivers there should of been overwhelming enough for a team to grab the load from me and deliver it on time to all 3 stops and final destination.

--------- Notified dispatch of my presence in the area telling them to get a team out of there to re-power load.

--------- Once again I'm told to keep trucking, so I continue.

--------- Load never gets t-called, I deliver all 3 stops and final destination late like I had notified dispatch of 2 days prior.

--------- I receive a message of a service failure and late delivery. Goes on my record...

--------- Should I dispute because I never accepted this load saying I could make those times, and I notified dispatch plenty of time early to have the load t-called and they didn't do their job and find one.

--------- This was all over memorial day weekend and my driver manager was off for the whole time so I had to deal with idiot weekend and night dispatchers that just didn't care. I know my driver manager would've had me a t-call the instant I asked for it, he's a great guy, but the weekend and night dispatchers don't ever do their jobs correctly...

--------- What would you guys do? I think this is BS, I don't feel I should be at fault for a load I never accepted. Who do I call if I was to dispute this and get it off my record?

Trygg, Did you send a Mac-22? If so, that should get you off the hook. Talk to your DM, or fleet manager to get it removed. If that doesn't work, talk to the terminal manager. You could fall back on the "I never accepted it", but Swift has a forced dispatch mentality. Service failures can keep you from getting lots of loads. If you did not deserve it, fight it.

    pattyj and Trygg Thank this.

Your driver manager should not have the authority to accept a load on your behalf, big no no.

Did you send a Mac 10 confirming that you accepted the load? Follow the paper trail

Not hard to guess that this is a swift driver. Go directly to the terminal manager, do not deal with the small peasant minded driver manager wannabes that will waste your time.

Talk directly to the terminal manager like willlyboy mentioned. Save time and aggravation, and fire your dm, (as I did) for doing that to you. Get aggressive and fight for respect

If your truck got under the load, YOU accepted it.

Not without his consent, his dm put him under the load without checking his hours

    They shouldnt do that ..

Every once in a while my DM will do it , but she always sends me a message telling me that if there are any issues to let her know immediately. plus she always makes sure i have hrs to cover before she does it.

I have had some issues where , I run into problem never send a mac22 but I send a freeform , saying hey I ran into some bad accident traffic or whatever , and ? It never had anything saying failure to deliver on time . Thats BS!!!!!!

Would'nt surprise me one bit if a lot of drivers in this industry get service failures just for reasons like this.I got one for not picking up and delivering a load while I was on my 10 hr brk.Did'nt know that till a yr later when another company asked me about it.

Trygg, if some knucklehead forces a load on you like this immediately send a Mac 9 declining it with the times you can do it and another for each stop. If they refuse to remove it send a Mac 22 for each stop. The Mac 22 goes to the CSR so they can reschedule with the customers.

Like Patty said you can get hidden SF but supposedly the new system notifies you so you can dispute it.
