Jesus I looked through that and then saw the price at the end...
Holy sticker shock batman.
Total Adjusted Price (W/O Freight & Warranty & Surcharges) $196,907
Freight Charge $2,125
Options Not Subject to Discount $0
Surcharges Not subject to Discount $9,250
So the total comes to = $208,282
Ok, now add on the "interest rate" (I figured this out by looking at the residual for my own truck by comparing what I would owe if every cent of my truck lease payment to SFI went to paying it off, to what I will ACTUALLY owe) of 20% and you're looking at $249,938 by the time its paid off...
I talked to Hoovers gliders and could get a T660 glider, just straight up LOADED with VIT interior, disc brakes, 86" sleeper, leather everything + 2050ft/lb 18speed + fresh rebuilt N14 Cummins (AWW YEAHHH) for around 90k less...
Question for SNI choice guys. Why did you choose?

My payment on 156 week lease is $788. Total payments $123k, residual $65k Total $188k. Truck price with the APU was $155k. 5 year loan on $155k just adding up the lease payments and residual would be 8% interest, APR is 8.3%. Pretty good for a business loan.
If you stick with the same $788 a week ($3414 a month) payment for a full 5 years and paid it off on a simple interest loan, total for all payments would be $204k and the interest rate would be approximately 11.5%. Still not bad for a business loan.
The L/P nay sayers can say they can get a truck with a lower payment from Lone mountain for example but taking the Pete 389s or Lonestars they have for $2600 a month for 5 years with a $15k down payment... If you take away $13k from the down payment and add in $10k for a new diesel APU, $2k into the Maintenance fund and $3k fund match you're adding $28k to the amount you would be adding at least $600 a month to their truck payment so it would be $3200 a week for a truck that is specced roughly the same... Fleet specs with a few goodies thrown in.
IMHO the 3 year lease on the T680 for a solo driver is actually a pretty decent deal and I'm quite happy with it.
My 99 Pete 379 had a sticker of $106k IIRC and I paid $70k new. I figured it out yesterday that new truck prices are going up by roughly 4.6% a year. At this rate price for a new truck should hit $300k by 2022, $400k by 2029, $500k by 2034 and a cool million $$$ by 2049.
N14.... Hmmmmmmm... Let's just say that I'm NOT a fan or that engine to put it very, very nicely. If I still had that engine I would probably pay you to take it off my property.Last edited: Jun 5, 2014

Ahhhh "The devils in baggy pants"... AKA the no war '04 LOL..... I think they are afraid to send the 504 in first anymore because Y'all blow up too much stuff.
I was 782MSB. Was attached to the 3/505 in both OEF and OIF both times on the torch party doing site recon. I thought I was supposed to be in the rear with the gear but instead ended up on point LOL.TennMan and Dogals right foot Thank this. -
Yeah I heard the No War 504 many times back in the day(84-92).
After grenada most of all.
But we made up for it in 89..Jumped with the Rangers at Torrijos Airport.
Just wanted to say hey to a Fellow "All American".TennMan Thanks this. -
"All the way sir" That mustard stain was earned kicking in the door in Panama. My respects. Going Airborne and 82nd was one of the best decisions I ever made. If you gotta put boots on the ground, might as well go in with some of the best Uncle Sugar has to offer.TennMan Thanks this. -
I agree with that.."knees to the breeze" and all.
At least you weren't 18th Airborne corp..Gay Dragons..LOL!TennMan Thanks this. -

Schneider does finance with zero down and no credit check, I self-dispatch from a loadboard with comparable rates to LandStar from what I've read on similar forums (I will pocket over $2k this week), and I can take the Schneider Finance truck to another company like LandStar if I wish. Schneider Finance will let you take the truck to another carrier provided that you are paid three truck payments in advance (this is to cover the switchover and delay period before the checks start coming in at the new company). What's not to like? If you are too lazy or stupid to self-dispatch..or just have plain ol' bad luck, you can take the truck somewhere else. I don't regret doing it one bit. Well, they are a bit too safety concious for my blood, but most companies are nowadays...other than that, no qualms whatsover.
