Blame the truck driver for not slowing down but don't check if the van along with all the other cars that were speeding and were where the shouldn't have been..(?) It really surprises me that Morgan didn't fly, anyone who has drove the turnpike knows it's way overloaded with cars and trucks and is in fact a total danger zone.

I mean it was late at night and they were coming back from Dover, DE which is about 2-3 hr ride.

Also, what was a GA driver doing that far up north? Thought they just run regional rocks...

does anyone see the irony in that maxim ad and this accident making news in the same week. If actor tracy morgan wasnt involved, this would have been just another wreck that killed some.

Do I smell rather large stupendous lawsuit. ??!!!
and don't have any doubts that there's going to be some smart Alec ambulance chasing lawyer who will delve into the drivers medical records to see if he's got the dreaded Sleep Apnea affliction.
Irrespective of what caused the accident.
It's happened before, gonna happen again.

This is disgusting. There is absolutely no evidence to support the fact that this driver did ANYTHING criminally wrong. No failed sobriety. No evidence of texting or hands free violations. No evidence that he was speeding in excess of the law. Auto Accidents happen all the time. And most often they're just that...accidents! You take your eyes off the road, unintentionally, even for a single second, and things can become deadly. I thought We had RIGHTS in this country and that all people were protected from BASELESS PROSECUTION. Deleted

I see your point Cowboystate and you are right, we don't know the facts on this but..........On the surface this looks inexcusable...I remember the words of a former O/O that I worked for in 2001.... He told me "there's really no excuse to have an accident." Obviously being rear-ended or something alike is beyond your control but you know what? I'll never forgotten those words and I think about them often. It makes me remember that your primary responsibility on the road is to drive and pay attention!

The stupidest thing I've ever heard. Seriously. Here's your sign. Now let me educate you. In New Jersey they have been cracking down on fatigued driving since the early 2000's. There's a penalty for it in the state of New Jersey. Also, what the driver did criminally wrong was kill another human being and injure others. This has nothing to do with politics. The guy killed someone.
