Wound up with a 4 day weekend and headed out on a Plaquemine load Wednesday morning. They are putting the roof over our tankwash so I had to pick the trailer up in Greensboro already sealed. That makes it a little tighter on the turn since I can't run as far the first day. That combined with the trailer being rejected for loading due to moisture kept me from getting back Friday. I got home around 13:00 Saturday. Got another load to Plaquemine for Monday 6/1. It won't be a great week financially but holiday pay for last Monday will help.

Its a pain in the butt but you don't have to worry about the tank leaking. They check all the clean out caps for teflon gaskets, seal up the tank and pressure test it. Nothing worse than rolling down the road and finding a gasket leaking.

    6/1-6/6

Had an uneventful trip to Plaquemine. Headed out Monday around 6 AM. Got home Wednesday around 7 PM. Delivered the load Thursday and was off by 8:00 AM. Got another Plaquemine load leaving Sunday that will add another 660 miles to the check next week. I should get 2 loads next week since I will be back on the yard Tuesday evening with no problems. Wednesday morning if the tank gets rejected and I have to clean it again.

Loving this home time. My wife has a 4 day weekend starting today so its nice to spend time with her and not have to tiptoe around the house while she is working.

They are running around the Chicago area. I will ask the next driver I see what terminal he is out of.

Out of curiostiy I googled Plaquemine. An Indian word translated by the French to mean Persimmon. Interesting. What is it you are hauling?

We run down there empty and load one of 3 products and come right back. Its all some form of glycol. Its a good load. Takes a while to load but its drop and hook on the delivery.
