That is another reason to never, ever, run illegal, whether it is tonnage or hours.

I'm guessing the driver made a statement a lawyer would likely have advised him not to make.

There wont be a need for him to be funny anymore, the paycheck he is going to receive from Wal-Mart takes care of that...

Was just thinking about this. The delusion, if that's what you want to call it, with some that think truckers are never wrong. It must have been someone else. Like in Minnesota when that lunatic almost took out a school bus and a little girl. Some are trying to pin blame on anyone but the driver. I don't get it.

Joe...the sprinter can was chartered by the casino in Dover where he had performed so you're right that promoters and such usually pay for those things.

The problem is...this industry is being saturated with drivers who have no business driving trucks...there's a laundry list of problems and it's pretty much self inflicted....the last several years I've seen what surely looks like way more wreck less semi drivers than 4 wheelers any more...it's pathetic

    gpsman and Joetro Thank this.

Yes, you also have the right to due process. The state has the ability to arrest you and charge you with homicide when the vehicle you are driving crashes into another and kills the occupant(s). Now the fun part....proving it was the vehicle in front caused the accident. All you need is several eye witnesses to testify on your behalf or a Dash-cam!
