Are you one of the people on here that are saying he should be hung for it before he is tried for it?

I am just amazed at the people that are hanging the Walmart driver out to dry and had no outrage over this accident.

Curious thing how the collision avoidance may be an issue here and not there though.

Just one question can sum this whole discussion up,

Other than 1 person on this forum, Is there any others that would like to be in the Walmart drivers spot? I mean with all the hatred to him and all all the second guessing.... I guess I might be one of the few...

I know it,we're spoiled with all the exspensive stuff installed these days.People don't pay attention to anything anymore.Signs are more or less a suggestion to many.People with yrs exp driving are less cautious and the new drivers haven't been trained properly to even be out here.I watched 3 videos today at a railroad depot and it was downright scarey.Think anyone getting a regular license or CDL should be required to watch videos on truck and train safety.

Think that is scary. Went to an ems seminar when the electric cars came out to learn extrication in the event of accidents. That stuff can kill you.

I do not stand to gain anything regardless of the outcome of the NJ accident investigation. Any anger I have is more directed at Walmart and not the driver because I know they will discard this driver like a used kleenex. Walmart is the one who puts their faith in these dangerous collision avoidance systems. They want us drivers to use the cruise control as much as possible to save them money in fuel. I do not know this driver Kevin Roper personally. Another driver stated he has only been here at Walmart for 6 months. What I would like to know is what he was told about the collision avoidance system on his Peterbilt and did he rely on it too much, thus playing a part in this collision.

I am sure there is much we do not know or will ever know.

I always thought there were dash cameras in those trucks as well.

No dash cams that are company installed currently. Just dash cams installed by drivers who choose to have one.
