comedian Tracy Morgan hurt in bus/truck crash

The mile would have to be as the crow flies, not driving a mile circling the DC. None of our DC's are a mile or more across, so the answer is no, it will not switch to driving. That is why the company added a policy to not switch from driving to another duty status and then proceed to drive below 15 mph.

 

That's what the media and prosecuters are saying.I haven't heard the driver say it.

 

Ok yeah cause I can drive sometimes a mile in the dc from gate to door and back to gate. I know them guys have to find trailers and stuff.

 

I don't know where they got their info, but ABC News showed a map with a line drawn from GA to DE and said he drove that in his POV then started his driving shift in DE. They called it "a long commute".

 

That's not proof he was "awake for 24 hours".

Long commute? Yeah... but less than 24 hours.

 

anything to make a buck even if its a flat out lie. These news stations need to be fined severly for all the bs they put out

 

News stations fabricate all the time and never hear them getting sued.Every article is sticking with the same story,he said she said deal.I do believe Walmart hit this limo bus but I don't believe he was up for 24 hrs.But he could have been sleep deprived.Maybe his hrs were winding down and all he wanted to do was hurry up and get his shift over with.Prosecuters as well as the public are going to go thru every nook and cranny to get this driver put behind bars and demand more laws.

 

I forgot to mention this before, I had a minor incident late yesterday and I didn't put 2 and 2 together until now.

Some "iPhone Generation" girl got kinda road-ragey with me yesterday for no reason I could figure.
I do what I normally do with "unpredictable traffic" and got the heck away from her.
But the last look I got at her, she was smiling and laughing at me.

Teen driver, with her friends in the car. Young and dumb I figured. Whatever.

But it just occurred to me, is it possible the Twitterverse is looking to get flash mob retribution against truckers?

We've been vilified in the media as it is, could there be a connection?
Could the stupidity index among the "film them and instigate a viral video" set be looking to spike?

Everyone be on your best behavior until this blows over, and be careful out there.

 

There is no "proof" from the prosecutor in the formal complaint.



All news reports read, 'the NTSB is looking into a connection between Roper's commute and the accident.' It appears they are speculating and looking hard, but have found nothing yet to report.
