New Century Transportation Shuts Down

Unfortunately Mills, its been that way for years. Always keep you a stash for emergencies so you don't get stuck on the road somewhere.

 

Their credit line was not renewed, effectively calling it and they couldn't get alternative financing. It's similar to Greatwide a few years ago when their insurance premium tripled and they couldn't cover it. They ultimately found other financing, but they could have just as easily closed down.

 

The guy that pisses me off the most is New Century Transportation President Mark Olszewski

This jerk make some long winded speech at Orientation about how financially stable the company was and all the benefits of working at New Century blah blah blah. And for me that was 1 month ago. I heard they actually had an orientation class last week.

 

They did. New drivers did their first and last load for New Century.

 

Oh ok. I thought new century hired on Doug picklesticker.

 

I read somewhere they had a financing deal in the works that fell through unexpectedly.

 

Western freighways/new century sitting in a dock in front of me. They apparently didn't leave the drivers out to pasture.

 

Or that driver is delivering the load they picked up on Monday and hasn't talked with dispatch since then...

 

Ok there is a class action suit files against NEW Century. For violating the warn act. I can't find the link but it's somewhere in ooidas site. They talked about it on the radio.
