Sitting at a repair shop, looks like I'm not getting out of here tonight. Have a problem with my air, it'll build up a bit then decide that it doesn't want to build anymore. I was in Appleton last night with my truck in the shop and they couldn't reproduce the problem, so 100 miles later I'm on the side of the road for 4 hours (on duty mind you, as instructed by my fleet manager) trying to fix it myself before I get someone to do a quick repair, get me to this shop, and now the temporary repair they did to get me to Marshfield isn't going to hold up. This sucks on many levels.

Parked for the night at the Fort Wayne Truck Plaza I69/US30, only about 3 minutes down the road from the cons. Deliver at 8 am and back to Chicago!

Down at Sullivan MO j for the night. Just saved the truck from an ICC ripping on a bad 90 degree offset by a seasoned veteran of the job.
His tandems were 100 forward locked position and he was to focused on truck on inside, that he didn't goal to see mine. 5 secs later and my tractor side would of been hamburger.
Hit the airhorn, 10 secs later here him on cb calling out to me.
I tell him to goal, he don't.
Instead I walk him through straightening out his rig in 5 easy steps. He gets parked....I keep from being ground up.

    Remember, goal dude ;)

Does anyone else get sent their preplan, and then after accepting the load that you can make on time, your fm sends you a message with a different appointment time that you can't make? Mine seems to do it quite often. Just another one of those things that has me with my head looking feverishly over the horizon for a new place to drive for. Anyways, I'm at the west bound mm 197 service plaza on 80 in ohio. Gotta love free showers

I've never had that happen. I usually request earlier appts that I can make if there's too much time on the original one. If they make yours too tight, just tell them you can't guarantee being on time. That way it's not on you if it fails.

Communicate that to your FM when it happens
