Just a thought but you don't necessarily have to go with a large outfit with mega turnover. HTLD/GTI does fit that. Lots of multi-year drivers, lots of now-you-see'ums-now-you-don't. If you Google 'Pennsylvania trucking companies' you'll get a couple web sites that list every, every trucking company based in your state.
I work for an outfit with little turnover. That's a good thing to look at first... I would look for a smaller firm that's able to distinguish itself due to things like service, niche in the market, etc. The more specialized the better in my book.time to run Thanks this. -
Thanx and I'll check it out and look all I can b4 I take a leap...

Only lasted 6 months on the 48 state refer fleet with GTI
@ 3 weeks out I only averaged around 2400 miles per week. That was June through December 2012.time to run Thanks this. -
Wow I hope thats not the case if I decide to go to gti, those type of miles I can't afford to have, from what I as told the drivers are averaging 2600-3000/WK,I'm still thinking hard and waiting for other prospects to talk to,hopefully a great opportunity transpires....

Best first to believe all the bad news (well, except for the disgruntled, sour grapes) and sprinkle a bunch of skepticism on the promotional stuff (both here and out there, from recruiters who admit they're recruiters at least).
There's a thread here by a former recruiter for WE who explains that as a recruiter he was paid on commission like a used car salesman. That should put things in perspective for you.
If you've got 2 years driving, a good driving record, you're a candidate for a better job than with any mega. That includes HTLD/GTI. The longer 'of tooth' you are as a driver the easier to pull in a job that doesn't need a bonus to lure you in because it really is a good job to have.time to run Thanks this. -
Than again I'm cautiously making a decision believe me,

Well just talked w the recruiter and bang 2 lies already 1st lie he said the other day he'd fly me out instead of greyhound....lie....2nd lie .38+2 cents for refer =40...now it changed from that to .32 +2=34 wtf....don't like being mislead...my decision has been made... looking elsewhere...
