The end result has zero to do with supply and demand, what does is the revolving door that has been created by the FMCSA.

By the way, just so you know Daphne Izer, Founder of Parents Against Tired Truckers which is the reason we have had a lot of this crap has been honered by the WH, the FMCSA and other groups for her effort in trying to get rid of tired truckers and most of the rest of us. I wonder why can one person who hates truckers can drum up so much political support while we have a few million and we can't even get unified training for DOT officers to end abuse we endure.

The 30 minute rest break is actually for getting something to eat. They call it a rest break but it is really just an attempt to put two 15 minute coffee breaks together.

Having said that, the how Parents against tired truckers stuff and Mothers against drunk drivers is nothing but legalized revenge. We have a law that makes it illegal to kill someone with a truck. We don't need any other what if laws.

Oh please, I've backed up more than you've driven forward, and with 2.5 million accident free miles, I know what I'm talking about.

Lux isn't. Lux is a fraud. A poser. Not sure who the "US" is that he speaks of. He is a failed and disgruntled retail clerk turned school bus driver. Closest he's been to a truck is fondling those plastic models from the toy department.....wishing he had even half of what it takes to drive a real truck. But instead he comes on here to tell real men and women how to do their jobs. Hoping that a man of 35 yrs experience and 2.5 million accident free miles loses his license? People of his ilk disgust me.

Yes it made me peruse the HOS in the UK and the EU.,
they have many breaks in the driving day, but the scary part is seeing what on duty hours they are allocated. Basically they can only drive for a total of 90 hours in any two weeks. Yikes, that's one heck of a difference to what we do.
Does anyone like to bet against this happening here? You have to wonder if they are looking at such a concept. 90 hrs in 2 weeks is a massive paradigm shift, but I guess we can be re-assured that Canada hasn't changed much, over the years.
Right now, there's a plethora of distrust on both sides.

Which is precisely why I've moved into hourly work. Unless I have to I won't be chasing miles for a paycheck if I can help it.
