Two things that you will find usefull:

1. If you are parking your car in West Valley City, keep a pair of jumper cables in the trunk. You car could sit for a month or so at a time.

2. Starting now, begin loading up your Itunes or whatever you listen to. Especially look up books on tape and things like that in addition to your music. It will help the miles roll under you faster and easier.

An added bonus-- When I'm training and it's my turn to drive I like to keep a running commentary. "Here's the exit for the Flying J that always has parking. There's a great tire shop in that town and they take Central Comchecks."

If I notice my student plugging in his headphones, that's a polite way of saying, "I'd kind of just like to zone out into my own little world and not talk for a while" without having to come out and say it.

That's where they sent me the last time I rolled through there. I'd assume so.

The last time I was out there back in March they were using only the swift Denver terminal. You will love that place, unless something has changed there were so many trailers in there that you will not find parking and the office staff was a bunch of buttholes. Oh yeah if you're picking up a load there good luck.. You may have to have the yard dog move 4-5 trailers just so you can get to yours. Hate to sound so negative but the truth is just that, the truth.

 

those 586 Great Dane trailers are a pain to fuel. The freight wing is too far away from the tank. So you can't get the nozzle in all the way.
