    15 minute minimum is our company policy.If you are ever lucky enough to get inspected at a scale by a (DOT that actually knows how to pull up your log graph on your peoples net. One picture button you push. They want to see your inspection on duty on the graph.So when this happens it looks good to have 15 minutes on there.If its not on your graph at all or 5 minutes well they will think you just went thru the motionsand didnt pretrip. I usually do 30 minutes pre,15 intermediate if doing one and 15 post. Hourly so get paid for it.

    Oh, ok. Thanks for the follow up.
    That makes sense.
    I was taking about 30 minutes to pre trip before my trainer called me a moron and said "we got to go, you dumba55! The truck's fine!".
    He was a good guy, but I didn't exactly agree with everything he "taught me".
    Also, he bragged about getting paid for passing DOT inspections. The dude made good money, and I hope I can make half of his paychecks. I'm not kidding. I didn't have to like him and he didn't have to like me. But, ####. If I started driving when I was 23, I'd have a different life story.
    He pissed me off several times, but he knew what he was talking about and had the bankroll to prove it.
