What can I do? Delivery receipt instead of bill of lading, broker won't pay

    delivered a load on time with no damage or claim,broker dont wanna pay cause paperwork says delivery receipt instead of bill of lading.what i need to do to get payed?broker is Cheap and Heavy.

    billing department told me to call the agent i got the load thru so he can close it,called the agent he told me everything is good on his end and i need to speak to billing.this game been going for a week now.

    Call the shipper and tell them the broker is playing games with your money. If he does not pay by the end of this week you are going to start a small claims case to sue the shipper for payment. That usually gets a phone call from the shipper to the deadbeat broker to get going. Dont even worry about them not wanting to use you again, if they dont pay now, there not going to pay on the next load.

    I don't think he'll have a problem getting CHRobinson to pay on the next load. Contact the receiver and ask them to fax / email a copy of the signed BOL to you, and forward that to CHRobinson.
