Im not arguing with you , Im just trying to point out this is America, everyone is assumed innocent until proven guilty, dont matter if hes a football player or a truck driver. Thats how it should be.

You take that right from one, you might as well take it from all

The whole base of the accident is the rear end. Speed, fatigue, snow, rain, etc doesn't matter. It all comes down to the rear end collision. It's something that's been hammered into our heads from day 1. Safe. Following. Distance. Leave yourself an out. That's it. There's never a reason for a rear end accident. Never ever ever. Speeding in the construction zone is bad. Falling asleep driving is bad. Distraction is bad. Hell, being over cautious can be bad. But at the end of the day, when you don't leave yourself an out, you're literally asking to be in an accident.

I await the time when a stupid 4 wheeler pulls into your lane and slams on the brakes.

REMEMBER you said never a reason for a rear end.

Karma will be tough for you.

You do realize there is a way out of that, right? You put this stupid SOB on a pedestal all you want. He killed someone and now after we finally got a politician on our side to do something about the HOS, he singlehandedly destroyed that and made Anne Ferro and the rest of them look right. Yeah. Keep on patting this POS on the back and act like he did nothing wrong. You turn my stomach. You really do.

Actually the article linked by the OP reads:
"But data from the truck shows that in the 60 seconds before the tractor-trailer slammed into the back of the limo bus carrying Morgan and six others, it was traveling at 65 mph."

It is poorly phrased, but so much so it seems intended to lead the reader to conclude it was 65 mph "for" 60 seconds: "before the tractor-trailer slammed into the back of the limo bus carrying Morgan and six others, it was traveling at 65 mph."

Creating false impressions in the mind is a science.

You just remember one thing my friend, the reason we have the HOS we have is because people like you run around convicting truckers before they are even allowed to defend themselves? You think about that

They want "evidence". "Proof beyond reasonable doubt" is a stupid phrase. "Proof" is "proof", there are no degrees of it. Once you got it, there is no doubt, so you don't need any more if it, of any temperature or viscosity.

There can be evidence in support of proof, but it isn't necessary, and it doesn't make any more proof.

It depends mostly on what the rest of the traffic does. Sometimes its safer to go 20 over than the speed limit
