    16 years experience and you're at .40
I have less than a year and I'm at .43
    :laughing3:

it's your own behind you should be whipping not mine :biggrin_25522:

With your experience you could start out at .45-.46 easily
Not only that.. with your experience you could be a trainer.. run supersolo and get paid on ALL miles plus an extra $125 a week for training.
I personally know a trainer here doing that and earning over 2 grand a week easy here.

Here is an article concerning Massachusetts new minimum wage law.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

Massachusetts Hikes Minimum Wage to $11

It's official: Massachusetts is raising its minimum wage from $8 to $11.
State lawmakers gave final approval yesterday to a bill that would raise the minimum wage incrementally to $9 per hour in 2015, $10 in 2016 and $11 by 2017. Gov. Deval Patrick is expected to sign the measure into law.

At $11, Massachusetts will have the highest statewide minimum wage in the nation.

The move comes just weeks after Seattle's City Council made headlines for approving a minimum wage hike to $15 per hour. Seattle's plan – which gives corporations with 500 employees or more until 2017 to implement the new minimum wage and small-businesses until 2019 or, in some cases 2021– drew controversy over its decision to classify franchises as big businesses. Arguing that franchisees should be grouped with other small-business owners, the International Franchise Association is suing the city of Seattle.

Related: Franchisees Take Action Against Seattle's Minimum Wage Law
The IFA does not plan to take similar action in Massachusetts. "While we’re not in favor of raising the minimum wage, the Massachusetts proposal does not affect franchisees in the same way,” an IFA spokesman told Nation's Restaurant News.

The minimum wage debate has drawn heated words from President Obama. In a speech directed at Congressional Republicans who blocked a bill that would have raised the federal minimum wage to $10.10, he lashed out, saying "Either you want to grow the economy from the middle out and the bottom up so that prosperity is broad-based, or you think that top-down economics is the way to go."

Meanwhile, critics argue that a higher minimum wage would directly and negatively affect small-business owners and job seekers alike, as employers stop hiring because they can't afford to pay more workers.

That will actually make things worse.
Less workers and the cost of living will RAISE to support the new higher min wage.
That dollar menu at McDonalds wont be up much longer.. that is if it's still there.

The whole system is a scam to begin with

I average about 2800 miles a week, I'm content because I know I'm doing the best I can with my experience level.
There are coast to coast runs and short runs too. Under 300 miles you get paid extra.
Usually I T-call the short runs and even longer runs when I have extra time and be on my marry way.

Dude let the pay stubs do the talking, because you have to think I was born last week to believe you doing 2800 a week. Oh by the way this is my last stub. Check is low because I had 3 days in the shop and they forgot to pay me for breakdown and NYC pay. It will be on the next on. Peep the Year ending my friend. I'm on a roll @ .40cpm. As Joseph says. You got to learn how to work kid :)

Prime starts folks right out of the training gate at 42-cpm.

Oh... that's right. They're so terrible. You have to drive slow.

...only if you want in on the variable fuel bonus paid weekly.

I've only been here for less than a month but am doing well.
2800 is if I'm out the full 7 days.
My dispatcher works with me when I'm tired or want the miles which I'm grateful for.
I don't need to bust my ### because I don't have kids or a wife or even a car being I'm OTR so my bills are low and I get to bring the truck home.

can you post a link to that?
All I know about them is they try to get you into their flease scams
I'd never work for a company that offers those lease things

No one pushes leases at Prime... it's against company policy, and will get someone terminated. I spent three years on the company-side, and never heard the word "lease" except when they mentioned the fact that there was a lease program during orientation. No one sits around waiting for trucks at Prime... unlike some carriers... you get assigned a truck as soon as one is available.

Don't take my word for it... check out the posts in the Prime forum, and ask the other guys who post there.
