The company website FAQ says they don't allow it because it's not allowed by DOT. I'm on my 3rd truck and have done the 8 hour split in each of them in order to make an appointment on impossible dispatches.
(A little late with this post, but I don't know how to delete it. Sorry)

Pretty easy day today made it up to Charlotte from GA. Only excitement was on the goatpath leaving my pickup in GA, it was raining a little, slick roads, and this dumb*** minivan decided it would be a great idea to pull out in front of me (about the distance across your average 2-lane intersection) and not accelerate... at all... when I was doing 55 MPH... I could not believe it. I am wondering if he did it in purpose hoping I would hit him because I have never seen anyone pull out in front of a big truck and not even attempt to accelerate. He almost got frigging creamed. Dove the front end of this truck down so hard... lol. Dunno how I didn't get a hard brake for that. Really wish I had a dashcam to record that because I would have sent that video with his license plate into the police. It was so stupid of a move that he made I really believe he was hoping I would hit him.

Anyway, made it the rest of the way up to Charlotte without incident. Lots more rain. My water-in-fuel light I noticed flashed on a couple times in the corner of my eye. It could have just been the wires for the sensor in the separator bowl getting wet from spray, I'm not sure. Anyway, I'm not having any luck draining anything from the separator, it just sucks air in instead.

Thread here if anyone has some ideas - http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...7-cannot-drain-water-separator-sucks-air.html

Off to Carlisle tomorrow... may make the delivery then come back to Carlisle, or may just spend the night in Carlisle then make the delivery the next day, who knows.

And Lincoln Il, exit 126, I-55. There are a couple other P/FJ that either have one inside or one near by.
