What kind of trailers will you potentially be hauling in the IC Choice Program? Dry Van, flatbed, tankers, etc.

I've heard of spec'ing a truck for the type of hauling you might take on. Being that you might be hauling light to heavy and different types of trailers throughout 48 States (different terrain), what type of truck would one recommend for this program? (Makes/Models)

If you sign up to this program, is there a certain amount of time you have to stay on with them? If so, what is the minimum amount of time you can sign up for?

If you own your own truck, can you haul a load for someone else or are you 'owned' by Schneider? What if the load boards become meager or pay very little, can you haul for someone else in this case?

Thank you for educating a 'Rook'.

If you lease on to SNI and run their authority and trailers you can only pull SNI loads. Period. You can buy your own truck and trailer get your own authority your own fuel card etc. And still pull SNI freight just have to go thru SNI logistics.

If you go thru SFI you stay as long as lease if you bring a truck to SNI you are free to terminate your lease any time but have to settle with them when you terminate lease.

    Bigman251, trucker43 and Jar-Head Thank this.

If you're setting up a business when you lease a truck can the payments be deducted from your taxes?
