If you are home right now I can remote into it and check it out... sounds like a license issue.
I will check back in the morning...
You may have to call CS in the morning...

Not home till the weekend. Will have to wait till then

I have bought three (yes THREE) TND 720's. All three have had the same issue after several months of use. The spot where the power cord plugs into the unit deteriorates and ultimately the unit will not charge or turn on.
I LOVE the TND 720 but cannot afford to keep replacing them at this rate. I know I can send them back but the problem is I can't wait weeks for their return. I need them immediately.
The power cord plug in/set up seems like "planned obsiclesence!" -
Are you sure it is not the DC end of the cord that might be slipping out of the socket it is plugged into?
You have all three still?
Thanks,
Mark -
i have had issues with the unit end plug getting loose
but if i tape the cord down to the dash and there is NEVER any strain on it allievates the problem for me
others have taken needle nose pliers and gently spread the plug out to make tighter connection -
As much as I like the features in the 520, I miss how my Gamin Nuvi quick connected to the mount. The plug stayed plugged in to the base. The unit made a connection by clicking into the base. It takes 2 hands and an unplug to pack my 520 away. My almost 7 year old Nuvi still works, except for the speaker and only required one hand to hook or unhook.

I do new truck "haul away" and remove the unit at the end of each day and at the end of the run. The issue is definitely occurring where the cord plugs into the unit. Yes, I plug/unplug it often. -

Here's another routing question...
I'm going from Henderson nv to pendleton, in. On I40 at tucumcari, it wants you to take us 54 up through Kansas and across, vs stay on 40 through Amarillo to OKC then 44 through Missouri etc. Once you ignore it and it recalculates, it saves over 20 miles, plus all interstate... I wish I would of noticed the eta
