I like it cold in the bunk so I say sleeping bag. I also carry a heavy blanket for students that don't heed my advice.

I thought that was you, you came into the new training facility and gave all of us in there a hug because we looked so gloomy. Stay safe.

Ok, hope this not weird ?. When a shower is taken, what do u do w/ wet towel, does truck stops or mav terminals have towels....U know i haven't seen a thread where someone speaks bout stopping in a mav terminal to shower or do laundry. Unless i'm looking in wrong places. let me check web-site.

Ok, I see 7 facilities. but mav doesnt seem to say on web site that a driver can roll in to shower or do laundry, or maybe its just understood. I guess only you mav drivers & driver instructors can tell me that. Thx...notice sarge i use the word instructor.

lol. Thank you. Some truckstops, you have to bring your own towel, soap, washcloth, loofah, exfoliating gloves, etc. At maverick, our primary fuelstop is pilot/ flying j. When you fuel over 50 gallons, you earn a shower on your rewards card. We also can put 50 gallons of fuel in our tanks at any loves in order to earn a shower. At pilot, flying j, loves, t/a, they have a towel, bathmat, washcloth and soap for you. Some have a bin where you put the used stuff, others, you just hang them on one of the hooks, usually one on the back of the door.

At the maverick terminals, little rock, Gary, Madison, laurinburg, fortsmith, there are showers with towels, soap. There are bins at each terminal where you put the used towels. At the terminals named above, there are also washers and dryers to do laundry. And a company car or cars to use to go to the store or whatever.

When you go out with an instructor, when you stop for a shower at a fuelstop, your instructor uses his or her rewards card and can either redeem two showers or just one by going to the counter and asking for a shower for themselves and their co driver. And yes its 2 separate shower rooms. Unless I get a student that asks me how we take showers, then I tell them well some are bigger than others so they are quite cramped but we shower back to back then call switch after we soap up and are ready to rinse off. Most of the time I can't keep a straight face and get the entire story out while watching the students eyes bug out of their heads.
