Once again Cranky Yankee is correct, there is a big increase in the presence of law enforcement on the highways. I know that many of you have Facebook pages. Did you know that most law enforcement agencies also have Facebook pages? Some of them are not very good with updating their internet presence .....but some of them,(Bless their hearts), love to keep the public informed on how they are earning their keep. If I know where you are many times I do a quick search to see if anything specific is going on. For instance, the program to target I 75 for 3 days came directly from the Ohio State Troopers Facebook page .....I didn't find it anywhere else on the internet. So.....my tip for the day is - If you have Facebook, search for law enforcement agencies in the states that you frequently go through ......ya never know what they might tell you! Remember to search using different terms also. Some states will be listed as Highway Patrol, some as State Troopers, etc.

I have been running hard. 3,200 miles my first full week back, 3,400 for the week just ended. I finally started to get some full runs of my own, not just swaps like before.

I was also up in moose country. Picked up my load in Maine last night, headed for Wisconsin, stopped for a the two hour part of my split break in western New York now.

That little truck stop Flash and Cranky where writing about is off of exit 2, it is a Irving/Circle K. I stopped there myself for a few minutes.

The trailer washout that you are given as part of the load information for the paper mill pick up, is right behind this truck stop. Go to the right as you exit the truck stop from the backside. The washout is about a half mile down that road.

George is indeed en route to Maine. His load is due Tuesday. Hey, Hometimem what was the outcome of your oldest daughter and getting her learner's permit? I'm in VA watching my grandsons while their Mom, Dad, & sisters are hiking in the mountains. I could actually be here until Tuesday. They return tomorrow; short trip for them! I'm dreaming and hoping for a brief personal trip to the mountains with George in a few weeks myself. Take care and be safe, All! Should I add, "be good" too?!!!

 

I thought you were probably in Virginia, jungHo. Number One Daughter still refuses to get her learner's permit and drive ......other than on our own property. Every time we go somewhere and see someone do something idiotic while driving it reinforces her determination not to drive.....she is waiting til her sister is old enough to driver her around! Maybe I need to buy her a horse.

It would be wonderful for you to get to take a trip with George! I'll be praying for you!
