buy your OWN TRUCK and SAVE MONEY and guess you could . You have to remember I'm not paying the man for a truck . I have my own therefore I have more luxuries than most .
Whats odd odd about havjng a savings account and telling a company up front your taking time off before you sign on in the first place .
actually doesn't seem odd to me seems well planned out
edit : also 2-2.5 weeks is not considered several in my book but just depends on the person I guess

When you click assign load on the load board how long does it typically take for them to approve the load? Is the rate you see on the load board the rate you get to your truck or is it like landstar where you have to calculate your cut?

usually about 2-5 minutes..it's fairly quick.
Bigman251 Thanks this. -
You should always put away cash when you can..just in case..as I'm sure you know.
I don't think 2 weeks without revenue is severe..as long as you plan a head.
I'm taking vacation this year..3 weeks total.
I saved for 10 years before taking the plunge to O/O..so my warchest is still in good shape.Last edited: Jun 29, 2014

Thanks foe all the information you have posted, it's been great information. Just a quick question, I too am interested in the SNI's choice program, so how much does the % program break down to as average CPM? Let me know when you get a chance, and keep the great posts coming.
Thanks man -
It's tough to average anything as you control the amount you will haul for.
I run the NE mostly so my average stays a bit high..around 1.80/mile.
It's all falls on you..YOU decide how much and where.Bigman251 Thanks this. -
I was otr last year with central refrigerated. I was a l/o for 3 months and loved it. I team drove and I'd like to get back into otr teaming again. Have to wait till the wife turns 21 to get her cdl, but jarhead, I'd like yours and others opinions and facts on team driving a ic with the choice program if you wouldn't mind. When I was with crs, we were doing 6k miles a week and making about 2500-3k a week after all expenses.

Some lanes have good HEAD HAUL rates which are attractive you have to look for the best of both HEAD HAUL and BACK HAUL rates to support your over all revenue per mile that meets your business needs . It's important to note everyone has amount they have to meet to garner a profit mine is different than yours , yours is different than driver XYZ and so on . So what I call a bad rare you may like etc , etc ..
Give br me a more detailed area I can help get you closer to your target or the answer your looking for -
Im im at the mall with wife will give you more details and payment break downs on team trucks this evening .
Thanks
