When I was approved in February, the recruiter told me that for the Choice program and to get a truck from SFI required at least 6 months as a Schneider company driver (with DBL approval) or if coming in from another company at least 1 year OTR experience. Several people told me that the 3 months on that posting is wrong and for some reason it hasn't been fixed.

If you don't have at least 1 year if solid OTR experience as a company driver, regardless of which company, you really shouldn't be trying to do the choice program. It WILL chew you up and spit you out. You need that year of experience to teach you so many vital things like time management, navigation, basic industry knowledge, basic knowledge of freight lanes, trip planning, money and savings management, I could go on and on. And also keep in mind that if you get a SFI truck, the lease isn't walk away - you're committed.

I was on the road well of 2 years before doing this, and it still gets overwhelming at times. If you're brand new, don't jump in to something like this without driving for a company first.

Rider Policy is $10.61 per month; rider has to be 10 yrs old if family or relative, and 18-yrs old if non-relative.

Right I wasn't saying that I think I cld jump right in like that, but my goal is becoming an O/O in the future. I just happened to come across SNI's program and it sounded very interesting & came across this great thread you started & thought it to be a great opportunity to get some information about the program. That's all.... So again thanks for starting this thread.

Still that's good even if you split it up in equal parts at 3000 a week gross

Ok I'll throw this out to see if anything bites. It's been a few years but I have ran the rack on a 6v53 and a 8v92. Who knows what I'm talking about?

Sure, a little late than never. Running the rack is setting the intake, exhaust and injectors (and jakes if so equipped) I missed out on the 8v92 days but back in the day you could pin the flywheel on a Cat 3406 B, C, and E in #'s1 and #6 and adjust the rack from there. All 855 Cummins including the NTC365, 444, N14's and the smaller L10, M11 and ISM families rack's are timed from the accessory drive pulley's timing marks. It's also a different story if the accessory drive gear was changed without timing it to the engine, so then the accessory drive timing marks mean nothing.

Sorry for highjacking your thread, just wanted to answer that.

Does anybody know how does your credit effect sni options. Like a foreclosure less than 6 months old kinda credit.

SNIFi says they don't worry about credit but I've heard through an extremely reliable source they will run a credit check on you even if you tell them not to, so be upfront with the rep
