Don't get all butt hurt, I was saying if YOU CANT, drive a manual. And IMO you have complete control over the truck driving manual, you do not with a automatic transmission

Why not a automatic manual transmission with a switch to toggle modes

How fast are we going with broken brakes?

Please stay out of a commercial vehicle!

To be real for a moment .This is actually something people do in normal cars (buddies a mechanic) and it makes me really question there logic "I can't afford a $100 break repair so I'm gonna destroy my transmission ,surely that will be cheaper!"

I would say because a computer is making the decisions.....even in manual mode there still must be some convoluted complicated electronic mechanism thingy that is doing the shifting. And a quick search of this forum will yield many posts about broken down trucks because of the trans. And all of this for what.........

    milskired and T_TRUCKER• Thank this.
