THE ADVENTURES CONTINUE - DFO gets a truck and hops on Schneider's IC Choice Program

Its not too bad if you're going south. 122 is a good road out of there. Problem is a majority of the loads go northeast, which means you have to fight with 130 to get out of there. Then it's to the DC area, philly, New Jersey and Massachusetts.

 

Never pulled loads out of Big Island, because they are cheap and heavy.

 

Used to haul chips into Big Island and saw a JB Hunt o/o lay a load of that paper over coming up 122 about where the school is. But that has been about 12 years ago. I know that is heavy coming out of there.

Do you go into Dollar General at South Boston and if so is it a drop and hook or is it live load/unload?

 

Depends on the freight going to dg. I think Kimberly Clark or P&G might be live, I know I have a live unload there once. But we do drop and hook there too.

 

It's both.....depends on the load. Good news is that there's a pretty big Hess not 2 miles away

Anyone know a guy on choice named Lyle? Walks with a cane, drove a red peterbilt last I saw him. Need to get his info so I can make good on him getting the referral for me going to choice.
