Yep good old flatbed..lots of work with out getting paid for it.
Been there and done that..swinging doors is an easy way to make money and guess what?
It doesn't make you less of a driver.

    Just saying..

    TennMan and tynodine Thank this.

I live close to the PA Turnpike (Reading PA). Hate the Northeast too, but money talks if those numbers are correct. Plus I could reset alot at home.

    LOL...No rush for numbers. Thx

I threw chains and drug tarps for a couple years and did enjoy it until I had to try and fold a tarp in 40 mph winds or sleet or snow or heat and cold or even if it was 60 and cloudy with a slight breeze, oh yeah thats right that's the job i said I'd never do again........Just kidding it's a good job but swinging doors is a lot easier and the pays pretty good.

I have my reasons for loving flatbed and it's not just about the money, although in my experience it has been substantially better for me.

I didn't make a judgement on how good a driver or person is by what kind of trailer one pulls. I think that if you look at the handful of posts I've made on this thread, you'll find that I've been quite positive and encouraging to DFO and in general as well.

I only check in here because this kid has a great attitude and work ethic that virtually guarantees him success and it's nice to see.

I'm sorry you took my comment as a put down. It wasn't.

    Doorslamers, sheesh. JUST KIDDING.

God, living in Reading you could go home twice a day. So much freight in that area it's insane....

    Nah it's all cool.

I was a flatbedder for a number of years..I know you have to have a screw loose to do the job.
I mean nothing like Bit*hing the whole time you're chaining/tarping in the wind and rain..then once you're done it's all forgotten!
    It's all good.
