The law is 4 hours from bottle to throttle. However, a BAC between .02% and .04% will get you put OOS for 24 hours (and likely out of a job as well).

I caught the sarcasm, but to be honest, I'd be 1000% more worried about the other patrons who will be leaving and driving their 4-wheelers than the schmuck who strolled over from the truck stop.

Several years ago coming from California after entering Arizonian at Blyth, back them you had to pull over, go in show them your paperwork, the go back to your truck, & of course if they were weighting them cross the scales.

On one trip I had parked & was walking up the the weight station to show them my paperwork, & a cab over truck with the little window on the bottom of passenger door was easing along, & I saw one beer can with that plastic thing that holds 6 of the together laying right there at that little window.

My thought, there goes a stupid truck driver, stupid in more ways than one. Some people seem to beg for trouble!

The bigger problem I have is I've never seen a good beer sold at a truck stop...

I was teamed with a guy who, given enough time, would cause a saint to pull out a gun and start shooting. Now and then I wanted to enjoy a beer when we were laid over. I'd take it in the bathroom, pour it in a Big Gulp cup, and then head to the truck. That way, I could sit in the driver's seat and enjoy my beer while reading a book or watching the antics in the truck stop. I didn't have to worry about anybody seeing me tip a can through the window.

Flame throw me, burn me at the stake... whatever! I'm human, and it was better than chocking the life out of the co-driver!
