My Prime INC Experience. (A Running Log)

Its huge when your slowing down the 15 trucks behind you. Or when your trying to pass a Crete truck.

 

Please, it's nothing, and you know it. The 15 trucks behind you need to learn that until they're at the head of the line, the speed you're running at is the speed that everyone runs at... and as long as it's legal there's nothing they can do except grow the cajones to get out in the other lane and pass you.

 

You bet. Whatever they told you is right.

As far as I am concerned, driving 62mph in an 80 mph zone is impeding the flow of traffic.

 

As long as you're above the legal minimum and below the legal maximum you're legal. If you can't deal with that and safely drive a CMV through slower traffic you have no business holding a CDL.

BTW..."they" don't tell me much of anything. I own my truck.

 

I was in one of the lightwieght trucks, some people don't mind them but I hated mine. You cant even stand in the back and put your clothes on with the curtain pulled unless you get the curtain that goes around the windshield. I'm just saying think about the lightwieght thing because 6 cent a mile, 2500 miles a week 150 dollars a week to live in a shoe box. Not dogging prime, wife and I team lease with them now for the 2nd time.

 

Well yeah! The windshield curtains are a requirement even in a condo! Go to a Petro, and spend some money if you have a lightweight. Even in a condo all you're getting is about 18" - which isn't even the size of a reasonable closet.

 

Read this whole thread and I have to thank you vary much for sharing your experience. I have been a police officer for the last 3 yrs and I am looking for a career change. I need a little less stress in my life ( I have to say it's not the people I deal with everyday it's the people I'm working for ) and some better pay.

I do want to know. I heard from a Recruter on Tuesday last week but haven't heard from them since. Is that normal ?

 

They're usually pretty slammed in recruiting... I'd be proactive and contact them. Email works , but if you call be prepared to camp out on hold until you get someone to speak to (remember, they're slammed!) Voicemails are the worst way to get a response. Most likely they're waiting on something to be verified, and many times you can help speed up the process.

 

Ok I'll do that today and see what happens
