Notice how few US carriers are participating in the program. When you do the math and average out the OS rates, Mexican Carriers are actually worse since they have an OS average of 16.2% compared to 11.1% by US carriers.

This is just another skewed and biased opinion by the DOT to support their theory that Mexican carriers are better than US carriers...I call B..S.:biggrin_25510:

What gets me is that our politicians and their appointed department chiefs are so caught up in "The Mexican (you fill in the blank ie, driver, worker, ect...) is so much better than the US (fill in the blank...)" agenda, they actually believe the B.S. story that they constantly get on the media to pitch it to American citizens. It's sickening to say the least, and if you don't buy into this B.S., you're labeled a "racist".

The thing is, why would any US carrier ever want to run in Mexico? The roads are not at all safe to travel day or night. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0BEK/is_3_8/ai_60007974

what is really sad is that the American people have LOUDLY said NO the congress has LOUDLY said NO and even passed legislation to stop the program but Mary Peters and the Bush administration have ignored the will of the people and congress, that is one more thing that needs to be addressed when the truckers finally get it together and shutdown and are finally able to address the problems in trucking seriously!

if there are so many dot inspections , how come i still see so much junk going up the highway???? i'm just a stupid as truck driver but ,i can see that some of these trucks wouldn't come close to passing an inspection... and yes , it's the same old ones that keep on getting by with it .. and yes ,they are the first ones who cut rates and haul cheep-as freight. my truck isn't new , but at least i keep it clean. i've seen trucks so filthy i don't even a rain drop has ever hit them.. that's probably why the dot doesn't bother them, they don't want to get dirty....:biggrin_25522::biggrin_25514::biggrin_2559::biggrin_25524:

If those bottom feeding SOBs ever washed their rigs, they'd fall apart. The dirt & grease are like glue holding the pieces together:biggrin_2552::biggrin_25523:

:biggrin_2554:After working with a number of companies I can belive they are safer because American companies only seem to think about is down sizeing and so call saving money so they say when what they do is use us poor to get money for their companies then find some reason to get rid of the good workers and keep those who really don't give a s--- about the company, brothers, sisters, and all the relivetives.

    Safer huh,

    Mexican "safe" truck #1[IMG]

I like the "California" rims on this one plus, notice how clean it is. Tires are pristine as well. I feel comfortable knowing that this rig meets or exceeds DOT's regs.

So go ahead, maintain your beliefs that Mexican trucks are safer. You and Mary Peters must have a lot in common with your love for "truckers" who could give a rat's behind about safety let alone understand the meaning of Business competition.

The twist of truth is the participation in the program. Only the worst of the worst US companies are wanting to go to Mexico. and they are sending their best up here.
