When out with your trainer, pay is:

Driving: Your home state's minimum wage +$1/hr
On Duty: Your home state's minimum wage.

Hopefully, your trainer will let you sit in the passenger seat on duty as needed to maximize your paid hours.

Could that be terminal dependent? I was told, and my student paychecks are reflecting it:
Driving: $9.50 an hour (more than just min wage +$1/hour)
On Duty: home state's minimum wage

This is true. They changed the pay scale for students last summer.

To the OP: I averaged around $450/ week while training. It is possible to make more, but if you burn up your hours just sitting there on duty not driving you will prolong your training because you will more than likely need to take a 34hr reset. It is best to manage your hours in a way that will get you finished with training as soon as you can so you can start making real money.

wow! hourly pay for training? wow! thats so cool!

when I was at Central we just had a salary, I forget how much

I know England used to pay a salary during your first phase of training, then paid mileage the second phase

Swift used to pay salary per week as well. I think I was told it was changed to hourly to actually help encourage you to get your drive time in. Beforehand, people would intentionally not drive to try and drag the process out for extra paychecks.
