what could be wrong with the apu that will take three weeks? you would think being in Sapulpa they would send it to boomers in okie city. they do an install in 6 or 7 hours and have never been at their hop for over 2 hours for a repair. they make appointments and keep them.

again, not to rag you. but the true problem seems to be being off their main traffic lanes and the pay and lease payments. if after being out for a while fuel for 400 mile dh puts ya in a bind, theres a problem.
    way t
he straw probably was broken sooner, the apu isn't the problem. a bit unfair to put any of the blame on dynasys, when its a revenue problem brought by one of those 90 cents a mile plus fuel surcharge leases.

sorry to hear of your circumstance, but assign the faults accordingly

JCT's lease isn't the issue. I'm running plenty of miles and making plenty of money with that very same lease. So are most other JCT drivers. Whatever BJ's reason for leaving JCT (and for the record, having never met him, I take him for his word), he's stated his reasons for leaving, none of which has anything to do with the lease terms.

I'm averaging around 3500 miles a week, which I'm grateful for. I'm "only" getting about 2800 miles this week because of the downtime I took in the middle of the run, but when a driver can take 2 days off and still get close to 3k, miles aren't the problem.

    ^^THIS^^

Just over a year and 180k miles driven. If miles are an issue, then you're (a) not sending in your Macro 41s, (b) refusing loads, or (c) just not wanting to grind out the miles and hometime is killing your revenue.

Now teaming with my girlfriend. Same truck and I plan on paying it off.

    Love our load planners.

I have my application in for jct im requesting the successful driver's to please tell me in short who you're manager is what plan you have taken and type of truck and year and I don't care to have an apu if I sit that long ill get a room .its a write off. A bunk heater and electronic 12 volt blanket my refrigerator and 1500 watt inverter is plenty to live comfortable and cost effective to be out here idle for summer isn't that costly if the miles are there.

$8k in idle costs up to July, 14+ day wait times to get the APU looked at (Until Rush in Haines City, FL only 3 day wait there.), and the fact that I cant get hold of the person that might be able to help me out for two weeks now, and the fact that the parts are not getting to the dealership. My DM is pissed that nothing is getting done, I have no quarrel with him or the company. I HAVE a problem with whomever bought these boat anchors and the guy that approved it. I have been told they actually DE-VALUE the vehicle upon trade.

We are load light in Florida right now, so I cant get any short runs. If the wheels aint turnin'...

What APU are you running? Sheila and Jack pretty much make those choices because of the buy rates. They've gone from Carrier to Thermo King, Then those ones with the green decal. Carriers used to have a bad rep (which is surprising because all my bad luck has been with Thermo Kings. Anyway, Thermo King and that other brand just bumped up their prices for the units so they're going back to Carrier (who have assured us that this generation of APUs are a lot more reliable) We'll see how those do when I get one installed next month.

I know it's a pain to idle. I'm a cheapskate, so having to idle at 100+ degrees just makes my wallet and gut reel in pain.

It's a pain in the butt reason to have to make that kind of financial decision to cut ties, man. I don't know if there's anything that Kevin in the shop can do, but I can't believe you're out of options. Out of Florida, there aren't a lot of options, but don't let an APU issue ruin the opportunity. Between Sheila, Jack, Kevin, your DM, and the APU manufacturer, there has to be an option to get that thing fixed.

To play devil's advocate, I've ran over a year without an APU and can still keep my fuel costs after surcharge under 10% of out of pocket revenue. It shouldn't be that terrible.
