That's a good habit to get into and of course I agree with you.I also know you wouldn't have called the cops.Problem with ppl today is they don't know how to take care of themselves they would rather take care of others by making sure to call 911.Bet the operator gets more calls a shift from ppl like the op then real emergencies.Which I don't consider his thread even close to an emergency.The people that had the baby are fully aware they must have a car seat.I say let the cops bust ppl like this on their own and the citizens mind your own business.

 

Like they say. If you mind your own business you'll be to busy to mind someone elses.

 

As post#58 said Roger could have done more damage then good writing the number down peeking in the car ect while driving.That right there was an accident waiting to happen.

 

I came to the conclusion a long time ago, most of us before the idiots and fools trying to save the world came along, we all got by without car seats and other nanny state things. Many of us would jump between the front and back seat while the car was in motion, a lot of us used to hang out the windows while dad or mom was driving on the freeway and amazingly we all survived.

I am not the parents watch dog, they are adults and even though some of them shouldn't have bred to begin with, my concern is not with the kid, I can't control their behavior but it is with my preventing me from causing an accident.

 

I've seen some strange eugenics arguments but this one I actually like.

Thats great you buckle em in before you drive down the road, but I think you really need to start off reading the first posting.

2nd it's not your place or anyone else's place to try to save others, if I want to take a gun to my head and put another hole in it do you really think I want you to try and save me after I do it? (Not that I would) Really....that is the whole idea behind natural selection, and there are ways and means for people who exit the gene pool that helps benefit all of us.

some do self removal
others do stupid removals
then there are some who are accidentally removed
and still others who are removed against their own will

and I hate to really give you a news flash but here it goes..........
we all have rights which we cannot change....

1) we have to breath
2) we have to be the color we are
3) we have to eat
4) we have to pay taxes
5) we have to die

these are known facts and there are reasons why we all have to go, some go sooner, some go later but we all end up eventually in the same place. If someone wants to play with their own gene pool than so be it, it's not up to us to try and save everyone, you want to save something save some change, go save the animals in the humane shelters, go save homeless people. But truly leave the gene pool alone, if there wasn't natural selection in the animal world don't you think we would all be over run by animals, and the animal population would really be overwhelming?

It said that we learn from our mistakes, well how the heck you gonna know if you made a mistake if one doesn't get bumped and bruised once in awhile, sure it may hurt at that time but you won't do it again.

 

Wow, I can't believe no one cares about the safety of a baby. It is completely unsafe and ignorant to not have a baby in a car seat. I have 2 young kids and I would never drive with them out of a car seat. If a baby needs to be fed or changed get off the road, stop ssome ware safe and deal with it. But I do agree, you are going to see a lot worse than that, unfortunately......

 

Everyone cares about how you safely haul the baby, you never put a cheater bar on the winches and binders when you strap them down.
And always keep the refer at 45 degree's to keep them fresh but not frozen.
