Anyone know the max weight a truck can be with x amount of fuel and contents to lease to Prime Inc.,Conway Truckload, or Schneider. I am in the process of looking at purchasing a 2015 Truck. Number one choice would be Volvo 780, then Kenworth T680, then Freightliner Cascadia Evo in that order. The Volvo that i'm looking at is 18,525# with no fuel or APU and not me and my stuff. The reason that i'm considering these companies is that I have not driven in a while and need a little training before being turned loose and they offer training. I definitely do not want to do a Fleece Lease. I have 8 years O/O experience in the past. Thanks in advance for your input.
Max tractor weight to lease with Prime, Conway truckload, or Schneider?

Contact Farm2Fleet and maybe they can help. Probably make lots more money there. Doesn't hurt to ask.

Well prime has some t680 and mostly cascadias I've seen a few o/o in volvos on the yard but I really couldn't say if they do have a max weight

Why not lease to a non mega carrier?

Just a little background. My driving was back in the 90's. I have been a pilot for the last 15 years. My avatar is the last airplane that I flew. I've maintained my CDL the whole time. I did go back driving for 3 months in 2011 after being laid off from a flying job. I embarrassed to say it was with England. This was because they did no cost refresher. Luckily I was able to get back flying. Unfortunately, I was laid off again in April. I guess it was a good thing as my Dad was sick and was able to take care of him. I'm sorry to say he passed 3 weeks ago. Since I inherited the house, I'm not willing to move for another flying gig. Nothing open locally. Even though flying was my dream job, Being out and about is in my blood. I still remember my trucking school instructor said "If you drive for 6 months, it will always be in your blood". So whether its in a plane or a truck I'll be good.

call a recruiter for interested companies. My truck was a little heavy, so i weighted on fumes, sent them the scale ticket and told them that was full on fuel. (at arnold transport) Weight violations are on you as an O/O so what is mor important is knowing the weight of trailers and max weight your expected to carry

Here's an example. Schneider (tanker) wanted tractors weighing 19,500. Got a 07 386 Pete. They put a pto pump system on and I filled both 150gal. fuel tanks and the tractor weighed 20,400 and that's with super single tires. My biggest mistake was to have a tank loaded on a scale, then leave and go fill my tanks up. Was looking at my pre-pass invoice and noticed that I weighed 81,000 crossing a scale in N.C. Why they let me go without a hassle I don't know but that ticket would have been on me.
