I spoke with the guys at the shop and they said the truck went through a peterbilt dealership before coming to the yard (the truck arrived at the yard last week and only has 238 miles on it). My company is very strict about saftey and so far has backed me on every situation where i have felt unsafe driving even when it would cause me to miss an appointment time. These situations consisting of me feeling too tired to drive and the second being a snow storm.
The first time the door auto locked on me I was putting things into the truck but it was only the driver door that locked while i was putting my bags into the truck through the passenger side window. I didnt even have items in the sleeper of the truck yet to press against the lock. The second was pretty much the same situation except i did have items in the sleeper then but i was more aware that time after thinking the first time was user error.
579 doors randomly locking

Well all I can say is to tell me the last six of your VIN (I'm a warranty manager for a Pete dealership) and I'll check to see if there is a recall for it.
-
****** are the last 6 numbers. Thank you
Edited: i dont know if anyone outside of the dealership can do anything with these numbers but i thought it would be best to make them disappear.Last edited: Jul 27, 2014

Well I eat my words. First off, your truck is not affected by the recall. It was built after the recall date. Second, now that I see the company you work for, I know that they have absolutely no issue downing a truck for safety reasons because they do it every single day in our dealership. They're a very good company for that.
What I find strange about this is that your symptoms are very similar to the recall. You may want to request roadrepair to schedule you an appointment at a dealership along your route so they can at least take a look.xbachix Thanks this. -

Unfortunately that I could not tell you. When it comes to how trucks are ordered / spec'd, I'm pretty clueless.

Just curious, what company do you drive for?

Paccar is imfamous for leaky gaskets and seals... Check the fuse panel under the dash... Even remove it and check behind the board for moisture...
