If you live in their hiring area consider Maverick. I just started with them and am currently with my trainer for about 2 more weeks before going solo. I had my cdl for 2 1/2 years and no driving experience and they took me with no requirement for a refresher. Maverick is a great company and I have not been lied to yet. Give them a call and check the maverick subforums out as well.

You aren't gonna like this, but truth is, no one hires out of Florida, atleast no one worth working for. If your heart is set on trucking, your options are too move, or accept low pay bottom feed are the only ones you can work for. Eventually, with years of experience you might find a decent job with good pay, but it's very unlikely

After careful research and searching through all of the feeds that's what I'm finding out. I'm already accepted the fact if I'm going be in trucking, I'm going to be OTR and be away from home.

TransAm has been going after me a bit more than the others. This could be a recruiter trick, however. I really wish these recruiters would recruit rather than sell their companies. Anyways thanks for the posting guys I just applied to all of these companies myself. I can't wait to get on the road!

    Not true at all.
Check melton for flatbed, if that's what you want. And Roehl has flatbed and van, cypress is a flatbed company. J&R schugel from what I hear drivers do pretty well. You just gotta look and ask around, but there are plenty of driving jobs out of Florida. How much driving exp you have?

Deltona. T-Trucker is right there are TONS of companies that hire out of Florida. I'm not hating on the guy just saying. Being a new driver is like being a worm on a hook it seems. I was thinking about relocating myself. Just because I am not used to staying in one place. I don't have any kids though.
