I've been talking with right foot about the T680 I personally didnt want the MX13 I'd prefer the Cummins they have in the 2015 680 im not sure if its a CM2350 or not ill have to ask about that. I've heard of guys getting 8-10mpg with the 680 which seems absolutely insane to me but i want that lol!

Yeah man don't we all! Remember that a lot of what you hear about certain engines is just talk by drivers who are nothing more than just drivers, that don't know a thing about them. Something breaks and they get mad and say "its a total piece of ****". People bash the CM871 that is in my truck, and yes it has some issues, but its also been incredibly reliable and easy for me to work on. The newest of engines make me nervous because of just that... they are new, and may be working out some kinks. But it doesn't mean they can't be good engines in the long run, look at dougals, he had some issues at first they worked out and now its been running great.

Consider the weights you will be pulling however. The ISX with its stout heavy block weights considerably more than the MX and at least on my Cascadia will push the front axle very close to its legal limits on anything above 44k. The smaller engines like the MX and the lightweight engines like the DD15 don't have this issue as much.

I think the days of true million mile engines are over, however. Doesn't matter who makes it. At least until they get rid of EGR. Good luck with whatever truck you decide to get!

Your right about drivers just talking people used to talk about the dd15 i had a 09 cascadia and the 6 months i had it it was in the shop three days one for pm and 2 for a window repair because they forgot to order a window. Im like you brother my intent is to haul nothing heavier than say 35-37k.
I fell like running a 13 liter will cost me more fuel than the 15 because it has to work harder to pull the same load but thats just my opinion i could be way off base.

The smaller displacement engines are proving themselves to be efficient... but I don't think they are in the same league when it comes to build quality as, say, the 12.7 Detroit, but we're talking an old vs. a new engine here so you gotta take what you can get, lol. Where I think the small engines will suffer is they won't last as long as their larger displacement counterparts that aren't working as hard to move the same load.

Well patience paid off, booked a 1.61/mi 8500lb relay out of Carlisle headed south. Of course, relays are ALWAYS easier said then done. Can't bring up address on Google maps. Arrival time is random and computer generated so who knows when it will show up.

5 digit zip plus 4 should get ya within artillery distance then just zoom out a little and start looking for industrial areas. Might work :-!

Finally showed up on the qualcomm so I should be able to look at the routing Navigo brings up then follow the streets on Google maps. Probably a new industrial area that hasn't really been added yet.

My boss is a smart cookie and he only uses his small fleet of approx. 15 trucks to support his $50,000,000.00/yr. plant and he is all detroit and at 500,000 they sold.My truck is getting close and have been told it was for sale.I love that truck but I couldn't sway his decision to let me hold on to it. The company I spent most of my career with used to put 2 million miles on a road unit and then put it in the city. The second longest time I spent with any company had a policy of 750,000 miles and then taken off road. And now we down to 500,000. See a pattern here?

Yea I agree they can be more efficient I guess im stuck in the mindset that 13liters are for local and diminishing loads not OTR. I'll talk with SFI about the engine options though. Maybe stop by a local shop and talk to a couple mechanics.
