Trying to find out the good, bad and the ugly about WESTERN FREIGHTWAYS based in Denver. Its a different company than western express. I am a solo driver. No lease purchase. Thanks !!

Pretty sure they were under New Century or rather owned by them. But New Century went out of business just very recently.

They were bought by New Century out of Jersey a few years ago. When New Century closed its doors last month that division closed also. Hopefully that will be the last we hear from Harry. He hasn't done it right for a long time. Instead of opening up a trucking company again maybe he should open up a cotton candy concession stand on the boardwalk in Asbury Park, summertime only operating hours.

I see their trucks a lot last driver I talked to their a waiting list to get on with them, not shure how true that is, they have nice trucks and take care of them, pay not great but good equipment good benefits and their know in to fire a driver for a driver for a dirty truck

You're talking about Western Distributing. Big blue trucks and trailers.

Understandable if you are in the area (like me). They have a rep for being the "cool kids", but the pay they post on their page is not impressive. Maybe I'm just missing something.

You're right. They pay low but you can drive a "Large Car". No thanks. I remember a few years ago I was in a TA and this Western driver came in, dressed to the nines in cowboy stuff. Said with authority he wanted Cat filters and Cat this and Cat that. I asked if it was his truck. He said it was a company truck. I said nice, how's the pay? He said, and I quote ".25 a mile, but you can run all the miles you want". Ok. And I walked away.

    cowboy_tech and carramrod32 Thank this.
