So, Tip, you are the one that is right with your 3 years experience and those who post positive experiences with companies like Swift are wrong? Sounds pretty arrogant. If you drove for Swift and had a bad experience, fine, share your opinion. However, you need to be willing to let those who had a good experience share that without them being ripped apart by your "correct" view. And just as you feel it is your right to go on to the "Positive Experience" thread and correct the "misconceptions" of those who have had positive experiences, they have the same right to come on the "Bad Experience" thread and post opposing viewpoints. It works both ways but you don't seem to want to accept that. Instead you have the attitude "I am right with my negative responses and you cannot possible be right with your positive responses."

Forums are just that, a two way street. You are welcome to post your experience but, please, don't say that you are right and all those who have had positive experiences are wrong. That is counter to what a forum is about.

Actually, it's an interstate with lots of get off ramps. And someone does have to be wrong ALL the time.

Just to show you an example.

My neighbor works for J.B. Hunt. Something that I would dare say 99.9% of this boards experienced members would NEVER do. But, this guy has over 10 years (not at JB) experience ???

To him, J.B. Hunt is the best thing that ever happened to him and his family. I often ask him how he can do it. He says they treat him good, get him home when he wants to be home, and they pay him good.

How can you argue with that? I can't. Even though I would NEVER drive for JB.

Trucking companies are like people. If their personality matches yours. You'll all get along fine. Otherwise, it's a match made in hell...kinda like getting married to the wrong person.

I still think my neighbor is nuts...told him so. But it's a mute point really.

Does anyone know much about the investigation that the Feds are doing relating to Swift and their CDL Fraud case that they got busted for by the Feds on February 25, 2008 at their Memphis, Tennessee truck driving school?

I am just wondering because I have an unemployment case this week that relates to Swift.

They fired me last year and gave me a service failure because I told them that I could not run a load on time legally because at that moment I was out of my 11 and they did not like that.

I was not even actually assigned the load only pre-planned on it and for that they should not have given me a service failure. I tried to complain to the DOT, but apparently the officer that I spoke to did not record it and file it for some reason and the DOT does not have any idea as to who it was that I talked to because they do not maintain records of as to who actually worked that day and at that time when I called them and spoke to them about the incident.

I've had nothing but problems with that company basically ever since I started with them as the trainer that they assigned me to had less experience than I did and I personally do not think that they should have even have sent me out with a trainer because I came into the company with 5 years experience under my belt at the time of my hire with them.

This guy that they sent me out with was a complete moron. He kept telling me that I was supposed to log on his home terminal time and I knew that was wrong as he was based out of Cali and I was based out of New Mexico. Those are two entirely different time zones altogther.

He even went on to say that if I did not log on his time, then he would drop me off in the middle of bf Egypt and that was not right of him, but the company just did not care.

I guess that it is little wonder as to why they have gotten themselves in trouble with the Feds as they just don't really seem to know how to communicate with either themselves or their drivers nor do they really respect their drivers eithers and what is even worse is that they do not respect their customer as well as I have had one customer complain to me about a load that was late because Swift assigned the load to me late and that did not exactly make this customer very happy with them.

The customer did not blame me as he knew that it was not my fault as he had already discussed the issue with the company long before I was even assigned the load, so the company knew that he was angry and upset with them for not delivering the kind of quality and service that he expected to get from them.

That was not the first time that I knew about stuff like that as I knew that they did not really care about their customers long before then as I had asked my DM if I could take a route that was shorter and that would have saved both time and miles and he refused.

I also did not like the fact that they constantly keep your fuel level so far down that you are lucky if you do not run out of fuel all because they are afraid of the fuel prices at the pump.

I can understand that part, but that is no reason to keep a driver from putting fuel in their truck so that they can do their job properly and effectly.

Basically Swift is in a nutshell a very disorganized and cheap company and none of them really seems to be able to speak the english language by responding to any questions that you might have in a timely manner.

I'm not quite sure as to what they do all day there, but apparently it is not much. I have even had problems with them losing my log books and even my bills of lading after I had turned them in at the terminal in the drop box that they designated for dropping off trip packs.

I guess that you have to admit that is pretty sad and pathetic of them. I know that I may not know everything, but I personally think that these guys could use a few classes in things like business management, customer service, driver retention, and human resources, and that is not to mention some severe classes in communication.

I guess what really bother me the most about them is that they keep talking about raising the bar, but yet they are either unable or unwilling to raise the bar on themselves and in my opinion that is pretty sad.

I can't say that I really know much about JB, but if given the choice I would take JB over Swift any day of the week.

You've really waited too long to get any real benefit from your claim of illegal dispatch.

The majority of companies only keep communication records for 6 months, if that communication took place via QC. The law has changed on this though. Although I'm not sure how it will apply to QC communications, if at all.

Let this be a warning for anyone who wishes to file a claim of "Illegal Dispatch" with the DOT and the courts. Hire a lawyer immediately !! Get a subpoena for those communications ASAP.

Yes, it did take place via Qualcomm.

Does anyone happen to know as to how I can get a copy of my DAC report?

I would like to see my DAC report.

"Falsely believes? You keep on dreaming. I had (past tense) a CDL for eight years. I drove three years. Figuring out the trucking industry ain't rocket science gentlemen. It's more like psychology, really.

Give the typical, whiny personal attacks a rest, already. Formulate something adults like to read, if you are capable. If not, go back to the playground. Before you get your hopes up, you know nobody's gonna be running this ol' boy off, right?

Nobody is holding a gun to your temples and forcing you to read anything here, boys. Please put people on your ignore list who tell truths you can't handle"

Tip...what else can anyone say about you that you have not already disclosed about yourself ....."I had (past tense) a CDL"

    Good luck to you pal!

Who invited you to the dance..or are you sticking up for your date???

What your little mind failed to allow, was that your posts, even though negative against Swift, had some depth and were accepted. Tip on the other hand has shown throughout this thread and entire forum that he is a has been - never been disgruntled ex employee that no one would ever want to hire.

As far as following the rules, as your mama must of told you...don't throw rocks if you live in a glass house.

    I don't need an invitation.

An equal sign of little minds, is to show up for a battle of logic, without one.

I haven't seen any rules. And my mama would whoop yer ...oh never mind.
