Sounds like a typical SwiftQuit scenario, which explains their pet name.

Good luck with your case. Maybe some of these guys who are cheerleaders for SwiftQuit will show up at the court house or labor board to try to sink your ship. If they do, let us know and some of us will go to your appeal and testify on your behalf. You may see a room full of us debunking the lies.

Slow down and use spell check, it helps make your post more understandable.

Swift is not under investigation for the CDL issues. It involves the school on their grounds that is run by an outside source.
As for your unemployment case good luck I mean it, when I left Swift back in 06 they said I refused a random, I had the paperwork that showed I took a random just 2 weeks before I left. I contacted Swift prior to the hearing and they had corrected it prior to the hearing (I know this is different then your case). I did win my case as I left for medical reasons. In full disclosure I am back with Swift on LOA.

Thanks for the support. I really appreciate it. I just wish that the judge could see that all I have ever been trying to do is to change both myself and my life as I got sick and tired of the way that my life has been in the past.

All that I was trying to do was to learn from my past by understanding both myself and a previous relationship that I once had with a woman that I knew back in high school. I was also trying to figure out how to start my own online businesses and whenever I was not driving I was constantly trying to read and learn new things.

I tried to communicate with my dispatcher relating to things that I did not understand about the company, but he would never tell me a darn thing except to go and look in the driver manual.

I tried to stay available for loads as much as I could, but often times they would send me the goofiest loads that they could find and whenever I tried to find a decent trailer around there, that was like trying to find a needle in a haystack as all of their trailer are POS.

They do not maintain their trailers very well at all. Most of their trailers were so horrible that they would not pass customer inspections and they barely made it past DOT inspections.

Swift is a real piece of work because now they are claiming that I committed misconduct while working for them. They are stating that it is for citations and violations.

I admit that I did get some citations. Most was because of their equipment, but their were a few that I got because of Swift and because the officers just would not listen.

When I left the company I was trying to fight two of the tickets in court, but Swift would not take the fact that I was contesting them into account.

I only got one in which I did not contest that was not a mehanical because I did not know that my membership with ATLA was still good. Had I known I would have fought the ticket instead of giving in and paying it.

Swift even gave me service failures because they did not communicate that I was running late to the Los Lunas Swift Terminal while on a Walmart load and the only reason that I was late was becasue they assigned the load to me late and then expected me to be there on time.

That does not compute. Their logic is very, very flawed in my opinion.

I forgot to mention that I am not perfect and that I really tried my best with that company, but that is not easy when they do not communicate, run you like a dog, don't listen and then when they are done they turn around and backstab you for no reason.

In my opinion they are crazy.

Swifty hasn't changed a bit since I was there, based on your post, Mr. Donovan.

I will be returning to Swift one day. Yeap, you read right. On the great day I quit 'em, and that day was especially good, I promised those jokers that I would return and drive for them again the day after doomsday. The next day after the earth is vaporized by a comet, is bathed in cosmic radiation, or is scorched by the sun, you will be able to find me somewhere driving a SwiftQuit truck, probably at some slow speed of 62 or even slower as I dodge all the debris.

Does anyone know as to how I can get a copy of my DAC report?

I would like to find out what is being said about me as I am trying to find work right now and I am trying to figure out how to start several online businesses.

I am trying to think big and believe in myself, my goals and my life and I am trying to find the right woman sto that I can settle down, get married, and have some kids.

I guess that you could say that I felt very lonely and isolated out there in the truck and I guess that maybe I was starting to get burned out as well.

Look around at this site. People have posted the 'how-to' on getting a DAC report several times. It may even be a sticky by now. I believe one can get one free report a year, and one free report if he is denied employment at an outfit. I THINK this is true. Understand it's been a while since I drove 18.

It looks like one thing you should have done is ask for a new dispatcher. If you drove out of the Albuquerque terminal, I can almost guess who your dispatcher was (cannot remember the name because I didn't drive for him but would recognize the face anywhere). I have talked to people who drive for some of the companies that people on here say are great and they hate it because of their dispatcher. The dispatcher and the driver must be a good mix or the highest paying, highest mileage, highest respected company will look terrible to that driver.

There is error, though, in your statement that ALL their trailers are POS. Yes there are many that are bad. The old MS Carriers trailers seem to be the worst (but Swift is trying to sell these off). Next would be the T-series, plywood-sided trailers. I had to have one transloaded in Lancaster due to a bad landing gear only to find half of the plywood missing inside. The local driver had removed the red tag and hauled this trailer to a customer for loading. On the other hand, the majority of the Duraplate fleet of trailers were in good shape other than tire issues. The Duraplate HD's were in excellent shape. And recently I have seen three or four 08 serial numbered trailers that are brand new Duraplate trailers.

Besides, due to the high movement and numerous drop/hook situations, it is really the driver's responsibility to get a trailer in for needed repairs. The driver is the one who often finds a problem (and overlooks it). Unfortunately few drivers do pre-trips and post-trips. I picked up a trailer one time that had been T-called that had absolutely no tread on one tire (looked like a NASCAR tire). That is not the shop's problem or Swift's problem, it is the driver. The only terminal I went through a safety lane that routinely did update maintenance on trailers was Phoenix. Many didn't even have a safety lane.

Regarding the service failures, the remedy for that would have been to send in Macro 22 as soon as you sent the loaded call and give a new ETA for the load and explain why the original time was not goee (i.e. late loading). If you loaded late and just sent the loaded call in with no Macro 22 they assumed you could somehow get the load there on time. Remember, most the who dispatch cycle at Swift is computer-generated and operated. Micro-map does the load planning and sends that information to the rest of the system. The computer has to be told there is a problem so the computer can flag that problem for one of the human operators to see. Otherwise, with the amount of frieght that each person is handling, they will most likely not see the problem.

I realize this is hindsight information. Hopefully you can get your situation straightened out and find a new company to drive for that will meet your needs and be a great mix. But, some of these things I have shared with you here should be of benefit at the new company because most of these companies work the same
