Are you a new driver? If you are .36cpm is not bad compared to other companies. If not a new driver, just what do you consider to be a good cpm?

My bad, I see you are a student.

Do the math. 2500-3000 miles a week at .36cpm

Not bad money before taxes. Just what do you expect to make as a new driver?

Nope, not a student, quote "laid off from Yellow Freight", so going from .55 cents per mile to .36 sucks. Been driving for 15 years, 2 years with Yellow. Oh well, I guess its better than working at McDonalds. Hometime is most important to me, would like to get home at least every two weeks, hopefully not every 6-8 weeks as quoted in another post-then I will work at McDonalds

Your right, .55cpm to .36cpm is low but it sure beats working at McDonalds any day of the week. 6-8 out is ok for a single person with no family to worry about but I also prefer home at least every 2 wks.

Good luck and I hope you dont have to resort to McDonalds.

Going from YELLOW to Crete or Shaffer would be a huge change, but you've been idle for a year, so your probably itching to get back out there! You have twice as much experience as I do and Crete started me out at .42 cpm (national) I know regional pays less.. Hometime is usually 3 weeks out minimum depending on where you live, with 1 day off for every 6 days out. Thats my only complaint but my paycheck makes up for it. Good Luck

Can anyone give me an honest overview of Hunt Transportation? I have been hauling O/D loads and didn't have any benefits. Just need vacation as I use wifes medical.
Will hunt actually get me home regularly or will I have a big fight to get home? Do their trucks have some kind of an Anti Idling system or do they use IdleAir?
I enjoy hauling O/D loads, as they can be a challenge, and don't want to get into a co. and have to play all the politics.Just do it old school, tell me when and where and I'll get it there.
